Exhibitions

In 1988 we managed to secure Chris Ditmar world ranked No 2 & Chris Robertson world ranked No 4, to play an exhibition match at the club. They were 'warmed up' by club champion Jim Devoy and young Alan Wilson. A pre match photo, with master of ceremonies club chairman Alan Dobson, can be found on the site.

A couple of years later we managed to get the world No 1 Peter Nichol to play an exhibition match at our club, his opponent was Tim Garner an up and coming England ranked player.

The 'warm up' honors falling to club champion Sean Jenkinson and county junior Ryan Barton.

Our 1^st Lady exhibitionists were Sara Fitzgerald and Tania Bailey:

Sara was world No 1 at the time and Tania was working her way up the England rankings. They were 'warmed up' by Carlisle's Dave Box & our club ladies No1 Linda Winder.
