Busy weekend for juniors

The weekend started early for Hannah Crichton in her competition in Lille, at the French Junior Open, and a little later for Jackson Holliday in Manchester (Saturday), likewise Saturday/Sunday for all those 12 Juniors in the Whitehaven Open and graded competitions.

No less than 15 Windscale juniors of all ages battled hard for honours at the Carlisle competition last weekend (January 7th), and the majority had a long day as they were involved in finals and play-offs right to the end.

Jessica Winder ploughed a lone furrow at this years prestigious British Junior Open at Sheffield in the first week of the year entered in the girls under 17 event. Hannah Crichton who had entered the girls under 19 was unlucky to find the draw reduced

Four of Windscales juniors were in action today, in the girls under 11 event which saw 3 of our girls in action, and in the mixed under 13 event we had one representative. Following yesterdays successes where we had a Main competition runner-up and a Plate final winner the pressure was on to perform.
