Windscale B win County Inter-club competition

Hosts Windscale 'B' played Workington, Whitehaven, Wigton and Carlisle 'B's yesterday, Sunday 13th May in the first Inter-Club competition for a few years and ran out as comfortable winners with their mixed age-group team.

At Carlisle on Friday evening, Windscale Ladies team consisting of Jessica Winder, Hannah Crichton, Luisa Mc Gregor and Lisa Powe completed their seasons Ladies Cup campaign with a 4-0 whitewash of Carlisle Ladies to win their 4th Cup Final title in a row.

The Club Championship Division A is always eagerly anticipated, and this game was another in that tradition, Andrew Kelly (the holder) was against Mitchell Parr, an up and coming junior, and a clash of styles made it all the more intriguing.

Owing to unavailability late in the day due to work circumstances, and an illness, 2 of the finals were postponed, and only the Veterans over 50's final took place, between Gavin Scott and Steve Walker.

English Closed success

Hannah Crichton, Jessica Winder and Jackson Holliday plus family members made the near 6 hour journey south to Surrey to take part in the English Closed National competition. Hannah and Jessica produced their best ever finishes in such a high ranking event and can be well pleased with their efforts. Jackson in his first English Closed found
