A nail biting Premier league match played at Whitehaven Sports Centre. First on court Windscales John McFadden against ex 'Scales' player Peter Sempill, a close encounter, after going two up John came back in the third game from 8-4 down to clinch the game 3-0.

Next on 'Scales' captain Ian Richardson, who in a hard hitting match over- powered Mark Frain to win 3-1.

Playing at three for Windscales was Chris Musson, Chris losing out 3-0 to 'Havens' Nigel Stewart.

Playing at two was Linda Winder, against her normal 'sparring partner' Ian Bewsher.  Ian looked sharper and more focused on the night, and came out on top winning 3-0.

For the second week running a Windscale match was poised at 2 all. 'Havens' Neil Pattinson against Geoff Cross to decide the match. Both playing top quality squash, Geoff going 2-0 down but then levelled this Game and the match to 2-2.

All was hinging on the last game of the night. After a game with Neil holding 15 match points, he recovered to clinch this exciting contest for the Whitehaven team 3-2.

Next week both teams are playing Appleby and Wigton respectively in the 1^st round of the league cup.
