Leisure Connection B 17 Windscale B 3

Victor Williamson was unfortunate to meet Ian Graham on top form. The 9-0, 9-1, 9-0 score line tells the story, Victor narrowly escaping a 27-0 drubbing.

Mike Jenkins put up a more respectable performance, but he also lost with a similar score line 7-9, 3-9, 9-10 against ex Windscale journeyman Paul Davies.

Arriving late by agreement, Paul Ditchburn playing at 5 pulled one back for 'Scales' beating John Kerr , 9-7, 9-4, 9-1. This was an excellent result for Paul who's shift working limits his availability.

John Banks was well beaten by Peter Fox who secured the match for the home team with a 9-1, 9-3, 9-1 win. 'Banksy' put up a good fight but was never in the game from the off.

Paul Armstrong rounded the evening off with another win for the home team beating James Thompson 9-3, 9-7, 6-9, 9-2. Paul, probably strong enough to be in the clubs A team but preferring to play in the B team, was made to work for his win by young James particularly in the middle games.

'Scales' visit Whitehaven for their next league fixture, and are looking to do 'the double' in the local derby. Mike Naylor has indicated that he is planning a comeback and that he is available for selection. 'Scales' have also introduced a recent new club member into their squad and may use one or both players in the fixture.
