North Lakes B 0 Windscale B 20

Young Kevin Dudson was first on for Penrith outfit North Lakes. Jeff Smith proved far too strong and experienced for the youngster easily winning for 'Scales' 9-1, 9-3, 9-1.

Victor Williamson made it two in a row for 'Scales' beating Joan Wilson, 9-5, 9-4, 9-2. Once on top of his opponent, Vic showed sportsmanship easing off to make a game of it. That said Joan showed determination throughout, playing some excellent backhand shots, but Vic was to strong.

Mike Jenkins secured the points for 'Scales' with a 9-1, 9-4, 9-3 win against Tony Pearson. Apologising for misleading our supporters in previous reports, Mike doesn't have a 100% win record. He's lost 1 and won 8, still pretty impressive though!

Jim Irving returning to league squash after a short lay off through injury, and had an easy 9-6, 10-8, 9-2 win against Mark Oliver.

Dave Lacey after a short spell of 1st team duty made a welcome return to the team, and completed the 'whitewash'  for 'Scales' beating Chris Merchant 9-1, 9-4, 9-7.

Products of the club youth policy, the Preston twins Robert and Kevin, have picked up the racket again after 4 years away from the sport. Now in their early 20's both are bigger and stronger and looking for team squash. Their welcome return will not only strengthen the squad, it will also give an injection of youth into a team whose average age is 45.
