Windscale B 20 Penrith B 6

Mike Jenkins opened for Windscale and showed the same grit and determination that he has shown all season. At 2 games each, and both players looking fatigued, 'Jenks' just had enough gas left in the tank to take the final set 9-7 from Penrith's Steve Moffat.

Vic Williamson dispensed with finesse and Penrith's Graham Silbourn in a difficult 4 setter. Both players determined to play at 100 miles per hour, Vic proved the stronger and more determined winning 3 sets to 1.

John Banks for the 2nd week running sealed victory for 'Scales' with a comfortable 9-0, 9-5, 9-3 win over Darren Tallantire.

Young James Thompson was made to work hard for his victory against Penrith's Hat Thoele. In a gritty 4 setter Hat used all his experience to try to unnerve the youngster, but James coped well to win 7-9, 9-6, 9-7, 9-5.

Dave Lacey made it 5 in a row for 'Scales', in a long and difficult 5 setter beating Penrith's Alan Reading 5-9, 9-1, 10-8, 5-9, 9-3. 'Scales' are now in the comfort zone, mid-table.
