Windscale B 20 v Keswick B 1

This result confirmed the respective positions of the two teams, Windscale currently chasing the division leaders, Keswick propping up the division. First on for Windscale was Mike Naylor playing Mike Felton. With one Mike currently unbeaten this season and the other Mike making a come back after injury there could only be one result here, a 9-0, 9-1, 9-6 win for Mike Naylor.

Paul Ditchburn was made to work much harder for his win. Taking the first 2 games 9-2, 10-8, the game then started to go away from him as Keswick's Ian Graham stormed back to take the 3rd game 9-0. After much shaking of the head by 'Ditchy'and a few quiet words from the rest of the team he took the 4th and deciding game 9-0 to give Windscale a 2 games lead.

Jeff Smith then secures the match for Windscale's with a 9-3, 9-3, 9-2. Win against Chris Pilling.

Jim Irving then made it 4 in a row for Windscale beating Eric Messenger 9-6, 9-1, 9-1. The first of the 3 set's was well contested, but as Jim "got his eye in" some perfectly flighted lobs made this a one sided contest.

At 6' 4" and 16 Stone Keswick's Phil Mc Robin looked quite a handful for young John Banks. Alas that turned out not to be the case, as young 'Banksy' won easily 9-2, 9-0, 9-1.
