Windscale B v North Lakes B

A depleted North Lakes were soundly thrashed by Windscales 20 points to 0.

First on for Windscale was Victor Williamson, his opponent being Mark Oliver. Vic had a comfortable 9-1, 9-0, 9-0win,  probably leaving Mike to ponder ' was the 80 mile round trip from Penrith really worth it for 1 point'?. This was another good county league win for Vic but against opposition that had never tested him.

Mike Jenkins gave the same treatment to Joan Wilson beating her 9-4, 9-1, 9-0. This was another easy win. Mike also was never tested.

Securing the points for Windscale, Dave Jackman beat Jason Corbishley 9-5, 9-3, 10-8. This was probably the most evenly contested game of the evening and the nearest North Lakes came to winning a point.

John Banks playing his first match of the season showed why he is such a valued member of the squad beating Chris Merchant 9-1, 9-3, 9-2.

Dave Lacey completed the'white wash' for Windscale beating John Scott 9-3, 9-3, 9-4.

With 3 straight wins under their belts, a total of 55 points for and only 9 against' Windscale B have made an excellent start to the season. It must be said however that there are some testing games ahead. One such game is next weeks Cup game with our good friend's and near neighbour's Whitehaven.
