Playing at number 2 in the order Dave Jackman got Windscale off to a good start beating John Gibson 3-0. 'Gibby' clearly not relishing having to go to work on night shift gave a below par performance allowing Dave to capitalise.

Paul Ditchburn was unable to sustain the momentum going down by the same margin 3-0, to the more experienced David Young. There was no lack of effort on Paul's part, but on the night nothing would go right for him.

Mike Naylor then restored Windscale's lead beating Mike Scott 3-1. The first game was an evenly contested affair that went Moota's way, but once the Windscale's man got his second wind the result was never in doubt.

In an all Ladies clash Brenda Gibson squared the match beating Windscale's Janet Bell 3-1. Playing lots of good squash at club level Janet was not able to get into the game as Brenda dominated.

Last seasons star performer Jim Irving was not up to the task losing the final and deciding game 3-1 to Moota's Ronny Harris.

Jim did manage to win the first set and went close to winning the second through maximum effort. This however was not enough and the different class of Harris won through in the end.
