The ladies played in one league this season. This made it difficult for our two teams as we were up against some very good and committed teams.

Halfway through the season player availability presented us with a number of problems for the A team, which meant that due to injury, unavailability and a lack of commitment, this team was left with only two players. Due to squad rules which we adopted at the start of the season we were not allowed to use any of the players that had represented the B team, and this gave us no option except to withdraw our A team from the league before Christmas.

Thanks to Lynn Crichton we kept a healthy and happy B team running. Against the stronger teams in the league the B team were able to call on the support of Linda Winder and/or Lesley Devoy, which gave them some added strength as well as some much needed points to help them stay off the bottom of the league table. They all enjoyed another good season and it is hoped they will continue to serve the club for many more tears to come.

Thanks also to Jenny and Rene who through no fault of their own were not able to finish the season, and Pauline who withdrew due to injury.

Thanks also to Pelham, Sharon and Nicola for the good food throughout the season, this was greatly appreciated by both home and away teams.

Next season if we are to continue to run two teams we will need to see some new faces that are keen to play team squash and make a commitment to the club. Hopefully with Linda's input into the running of the teams, we should see a marked improvement next season.
