Hannah Crichton of Windscale Squash Club, won the prestigious Cumbria Ladies County League Squash Player of the Year 2008/9 trophy, on Friday evening, presented to her after her victorious part in Windscales 'Double' winning League and Cup season.

The award is recognition of her sterling effort this season, playing in every match, and only losing one tie all season, her only reverse coming in the away match at Carlisle against Linda Reay. This loss by the score of three games to two meant that she had the best record of all the Ladies that had represented their teams this season, some thirty seven players in total.

Respected for her demeanour, and honesty on court, Hannah, in her first full season of Ladies County League Squash, is well respected by her opponents throughout the County League, as well as being a role model for the other junior players coming through the ranks at Windscale Squash Club. Well done Hannah!
