In tonight's semi finals the Hero's (Mike Hetheringtons team) were not heroic enough as they were smashed aside by the Dodgems (Ryan Dorans team) in a relatively one sided affair. The hero's couldn't recover from a slow start and although some of the scores were very close, all the early games went the Dodgems way, a few games later on when the match was lost were mere consolation prizes for the Hero's, as the Dodgems took an easier than anticipated journey to the final. The other semi was a nail biter as it went all the way to the final game of the final match.

The Platoon (Adam Pearsons team), felt the Backlash of Owen Barretts team in a thrilling contest. Owens team led 3-0, and then 4-2 after two matches, this was pulled back slightly, but still favoured the Backlash team 5-4. The Platoon stood to attention as the Captain demanded better and his team pulled out a lead for the first time on the night 7-5. All that remained now was for the top guns to fight it out to see who would make it through to Fridays final. First strike to the Backlash, shortly followed by another, and with it all square it was game on 7-7. Backlash Barrett had too much weaponry for the Platoon Captain Pearson, although it was the closest game of the three, and it was the Backlash who marched off the parade ground with flying colours, ready for Fridays final. As is custom all adjourned to the billet for some snap.

So it turned out the runners up from both leagues triumphed in the end, and will fight it out later in the week when the Dodgems play the Backlash.

Fridays final starts at 6.30pm, all spectators are welcome.
