Windscale Club Competitions are all down to the Finals to take place over the next 2 weeks.

Men

The Club Championship will be a keenly fought battle between two of the clubs leading league players, Michael Hetherington against Bob Priestley, and with the current head to head for the season at 2 games to each of them, this really is a winner takes all. The plate of this competition is between Paul Stewart and Keith Jones.

Ladies

Meanwhile in the Ladies Club Championship semi-finals, the reigning champion Margaret Thompson was against Hannah Crichton (15), and Lara Cooper (17) against Jessica Winder (14). In the first semi Margaret went 2-0 ahead, but Hannah dug deep and fought back to win 3-2 and book her final place. The other semi was even at 1-1 before Jessica's court-craft overcame Lara's dogged determination to win 3-1. So with two young ladies both under 16 years old in the final, this says a lot for the junior talent within the club, and the result will probably be too close to call.

Vets

In the Vet's over 40 final David Hetherington (father of Michael, squash obviously running in the family) takes on Gavin Scott, whilst in the plate of this competition Ian Richardson plays Keith Jones. In the Vet's over 50 final David Hetherington and Keith Jones are the combatants. The plate final of the over 50's is between Bob Watson and Phil Mc Straw.

Non-Ranked

The final of the Non-Ranked competition (for those in League 10 or below at the competition closing date), sees Mark Mc Gregor pit his wits against Hannah Crichton. Hannah Crichton (-1) also contests the Ladies Handicap competition final against Sarah Frain (-3). In the Club Handicap final, Mark Frain (-7) takes on 'Jakey' Musson (-14). Juniors

Finally Windscale Junior Section is running an England Squash Sanctioned Bronze Event for all age groups to be held on 5th & 6th June.
