The British Nationals at Manchester covers every age group from over 35 right through to over 70 categories, as well as the prestigious Open Mens and Ladies events for the best players in the UK. Windscale had 3 representatives this year John (Jakey) Musson in the mens over 60's, Jessica Winder in the Ladies, and Linda Winder in the Ladies over 45's. (Pictures courtesy of Squashsite).

Jessica played Harriet Ingham (Surrey) in the first round of the Ladies Qualifying event and lost 11/13, 6/11, 4/11, putting her out.

Jake had a bye in his first round, putting him through in the next round to play the 9/16 seed Andrew Larkin (Surrey) who then withdrew putting Jake into the third round without having to get his racket out of his bag yet. Howard Cherlin (Middlesex) was seeded 5/8  and proved too good for Jake winning 3-0, 6/9, 2/9, 3/9 ending Jakes competition hopes.

Linda was drawn against the number 2 seed Mandy Akin from Kent but lost in straight games 0-3, 5/9, 5/9, 5/9.
